If you love cooking, baking and serving the general public I have found it may be your calling to start up a home catering business. There are definitely pros and cons to starting up any kind of new business in today’s economy so I always recommend you consider all of your options before choosing.

Pros of a Home Catering Business

One of the biggest pros would have to be catering in general if it is something you love to do. Being able to find something you love and make money from it is like what I did with online marketing. Another pro is the fact that you can set yourself apart from some of the competition by offering foods and services that other catering businesses do not have. In some areas you may be required to do this just to see your business succeed since there is such a huge market for caterers.

Cons of a Home Catering Business

Home catering businesses are often some of the riskiest out there because you really have to work at getting your name out there in order to get clients. Food tastings, advertising, marketing and food costs can all put a damper on starting your new business so always factor in the costs of starting up the business compared to how much revenue you plan to generate. How Can I Find Good Summer Jobs?

For the most part it can be pretty easy to find some good summer jobs to help you make some extra cash, but what about when the summer is over? I know that when I was a kind and had to get summer jobs I definitely missed the money when school rolled around in the fall and I wasn’t getting paid anymore. As a kid I was never very good at saving money so I wanted to know how to continue to make money after the summer had come and gone.

Finding Good Summer Jobs

I used to look for summer jobs in my local newspapers which you can still do today. Checking classifieds online is a little quicker and easier now days though so you may want to hop online and check out the openings in your local area. If you are searching on a job and career website them you may want to type in specific keywords like ‘summer job’ or ‘temporary’ into the search bar. I know that people want to continue to make money after summer but you also have to keep your fall priorities straight, whatever they may be.

You can ask around your neighborhood to mow some lawns or do some odds and ends work for them to make some extra cash in the summer too. I live in a pretty popular neighborhood and I see younger kids putting up flyers every summer for lawn mowing, gardening work, and handy man work.

Good Summer Jobs That Last Past Summer

When you need to continue to keep a small income up after the summer ends then you can look into making money online. There are dozens of ways you can do this legitimately but it will really depend on how much money you need to make. For example you can take surveys for companies online to make a small income of around $100 to $200 a month. However, when you need to make a little more than that to live on, there are definitely options for you too.

How Much Do Good Summer Jobs Pay?

In my experience summer jobs can pay anywhere from minimum wage to twenty bucks an hour, depending on the type of work that you are doing. Just like summer jobs, online jobs vary in pay the same. I believe how much you are getting paid is important so always ask this upfront before accepting any good summer jobs.

One of the biggest questions I get from people wanting to make a side income is whether or not the work from home stuffing envelopes jobs you see are actually legit. In my experience I have not heard very many positive things about stuffing envelopes from home. I am well aware that not all business ideas become successful because before I made my money from online marketing, I struggled trying to find the right niche as well. Risky business ideas today often either fail because of money or because there is simply not a market for them. However, in some cases there is such a large market for that items that it is almost impossible to start up a new competing business without offering something new and different. If you are in the market for work and want to find the best part time jobs then you have probably just looked around locally. Depending on how much money you are trying to make or hours you need to get, you could end up working in the customer service field, a warehouse or even driving a school bus. I have worked and had friends work various part time jobs so I know there are a lot of ways to work part time out there. You could drive a school bus part time, offer tutoring or teaching services, work at a local book store or chain retail store or even work for a catering company.

You can either search for the part time jobs open in your area online or in your newspaper or you could even start up your own part time business. iJango Closes It’s Door But Opens To What?

I have spoken and even mentored some people who where in iJango. It's too bad the business fell apart and I can feel your pain since I've been down that road with iLearningGlobal.

I guess business plans that start with “i” only work for ipod, iphone, ipad.

iJango Closes Down

It's never good to kick a company when they are down regardless if your the person telling your team to re-evaluate their business by: “do you really want to put your future in their hands?”.

Hey, maybe they had it good on the inside. Who knows.

I believe this is the 2nd online portal type business I've seen fall down and close shop. The other one I made some cool money with was Winzy and they just disappeared into the night.

Look, iJango closing down isn't the worst thing in the world. When iLearningGlobal shut it's doors I was pissed but hey, it's a business. Not all businesses make it and times change.
