Thanks to scholarships for minorities being available more and more kids and continuing their education in order to get ahead in life. Minorities such as Hispanics, African Americans and Native American (but not so much Asian, why is that?) often have more scholarship opportunities because of the external companies that sympathize with the struggle of being a minority. I have found out that there are even quite a few Universities and Community Colleges that offer scholarships for minorities in order to get more students to enroll. It is almost impossible to not encounter another race in your area and when you are allowed to get the same education as others then you are just as qualified for the better paying jobs.

There are so many different kinds and amounts of scholarships out there for minorities so I always say that it is best to shop around first. Jobs for 17 Year Olds – Online Is Sexy

There are quite a few jobs for 17 year olds out there you should be able to get in your area. Retail, fast good, restaurants, and warehouses are some of the most common jobs that 17 year olds have and they can often pay pretty well. Fast food jobs are pretty easy to get and depending if you have already graduated or not you could get the day or evening shift. These jobs are good ways to make a steady pay check and can often offer some advancement later down the road.

Another popular jobs for 17 year olds is in the retail industry like working at a mall or mass merchandise store. These jobs typically do not offer much advancement but can be a good way to make some extra money in the summer or part time.

Unique and Different Jobs for 17 Year Olds

I have found that the typical jobs for teens doesn’t make everyone happy I went and found some unique and fun jobs that 17 years old can get hired to do, if they are available in the area. Working at an amusement park is a great job for a teen to have because it is a fun environment with perks too. Zoos are another example of a fun job if you have one around you but you may be limited to the jobs you can do here.

Babysitting has been one of the top jobs for 17 year olds for years and if you like spending time with kids then go for it. I know a few different teenagers personally that babysit and bring home more money than some of my adult friends do. You may be able to pick up a job at the local movie theater as well which always comes with some moving watching perks here and there. Plus, the job is pretty easy and is a pretty fun and family friendly environment.

Online Marketing Jobs for 17 Year Olds

These local jobs are great for 17 year olds however; online marketing can prove to be an even better job without technically being a “job”. There are several ways you can make money online from taking surveys, testing products, taking part in affiliate programs, even reading emails sent to you.

When it comes down to it I think that these online marketing jobs are even better for the 17 year old for a number of reasons. The payment isn’t being taxed (almost all of the time), you are working on your own schedule so you don’t have to give up your social life, and often times the money is even better than you would be making if you worked at a fast food restaurant or retail store. When it comes to finding some of the best jobs for 17 year olds there are definitely plenty of options locally, but if you want to make good money on your own schedule then the online marketing jobs are definitely a better choice.
