I was a guest trainer for My Lead System Pro and was asked to HOW I build my business part time and I told them I wanted to teach on the benefits of outsourcing.
Benefits of Outsourcing
My story is a pretty simple one and is found in my about page but in a quick recap.
Happily Married
2 little kids
Mechanical Engineer with a full time position
Generated over 10,000 leads in a year
L4 My Lead System Pro
4 Star Manager with Numis Network
Magnetic Sponsoring Super Affiliate
I'm not some super human and I don't have tons of experience in network marketing and online marketing. My journey into MLM was in 2006 and did it all offline and had a nice little time. 2008 rolls around and I started to learn online marketing. 2010 I started to dive into SEO and organic traffic generation.
All of this is fine and dandy but most of this and a big part of what I've been able to accomplish is through the ability to do more with the same amount of time as other part time business owners.
Benefits of Outsourcing – Saving Your Hair
One of the struggles of building a business is frustration.
Points of frustration for me were and what emphasizes the benefits of outsourcing:
- Technical – The whole thing of learning how some HTML worked, how to get a capture page up, how to get an autoresponder working, how to get a sale page to convert, how to get a wordpress up, how to write a proper article, where to post content to get traffic, how to build converting videos and embedding them. The list runs on and on and continues even today. Even though I do like to learn new things some technical aspects of the business really just frustrate the heck out of me. WordPress was one of those.
- Creative – I'm an engineer and I'm not the creative type. Trying to get blog headers and cool looking buttons or the aesthetic appeal of sites online was just a sore in my side. I just want good content and didn't want to mess with all of the visual stuff.
- Calling Leads – Man I hated doing this. It's not so much I don't like to speak with people but when you get someone who opts into your training then cusses you out for calling them it just doesn't make sense. But that's the real thing. It doesn't have to make sense. People are weird and nutty and throw in the variables of having a bad day you will get people who really do want your information yet still hand up on you. It's crazy and something I never want to do again. Speaking with a prospect who has seen your presentation or materials and is waiting for your call is a totally different person than someone who is desperate money and is looking to leach off of you.
- Lazy – Okay I'm human. There comes to a point where you do things over and over again in your business and your always looking for ways to get out of it. Stuff like generating backlinks or graphics designs. The lazy factor is a big one and being able to trade money for time/headache is a very nice draw in my book. One of the benefits of outsourcing is then the chance to relax and OWN a business vs RUN a business.
Benefits of Outsourcing for Business
Anyone with a business can see the benefits of Outsourcing and one many miss due to the fear or loss. The loss of money. I can see where your going but your in the business of making money. Learn to split test and fail faster so you don't pay so much long term. The faster you find out the things that work the better your business will grow over time.
So as a guest on my website I have gotten the recording to my training. It's about 1 hour long but I have some pretty nifty slides if I don't say so myself 😉 (gotta blow my own horn). hahah, I know I'm a dork.
Getting to a point in your business where you are the boss and not the peon is a great feeling. It doesn't take much money and one of my business partners who works at McDonald's has the funds to outsource. Yep, you heard me. Someone who works in fast food flipping burgers understands the benefits of outsourcing.
This recording is also in my 7 day free internet lead generation bootcamp.
I’ve never stuck it through with outsourcing… I mean I’ve tried believing that it would be easy but it’s really not. I guess you either have to find the perfect person (and take the time required to do that) or take the time to train them. Or maybe I just need to work on being better at making it easy to follow directions, haha. But I gave up on it but eventually would like to use it. Thanks for the info, Lawrence
outsourcing can take many forms. one being to free up time or to relieve you of tedious tasks.
do people cut your lawn?
does someone do your taxes?
do you get your car detailed, oil change, tires rotated?
outsourcing is in our lives all of the time and when you let it you allow yourself more time to “market your business”.
then start thinking what can be done directly to your business.
good people are hard to find but you can train some to be in your business and eventually they are employees in your staff 😉 so stick with it @facebook-60602073:disqus
Lawrence You done very good stuff. I really like and share it..
