Real People Making REAL money online.
The only difference between me and the next network marketer is that I started learning and applying everything I got my hands on. I tried so many different ways to make some extra income while working full time. Surveys, sweepstakes, typing at home, ebay selling, affiliate selling, search engine gifts…. you name it I probably joined it or looked into it.
I have no marketing or business background when I first started out online in 2006. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin back in 2000. My engineering degree did help me in many aspects of my business but nothing to prepare me in the most important.
To go way back in 2006 when I started looking I'm not going to say I just woke up one day and just “knew”. Nope. I struggled with this. Most people I knew were in the business field or engineering field. Network marketing was frowned on as a means of generating income. Many have been approached by some friends or cornered into listening to a presentation. The majority of it just didn't make sense until I was presented with an irresistible offer.
So I ran with it hard for 6 months and made some good money but shortly found out I had ran through my entire 100 names of friends and family very quickly. So what did I do?
I prayed.
I remember that night in bed speaking to my wife and saying “If this is God's will then show me a sign. If this is not meant to be destroy my business and burn it to the ground. I don't want to make money for the love of money. If this is not the direction I am to go please steer me in the right direction.”
I was confused and broken. I wanted the business I had put some serious part time effort in to take off and replace my engineering position at the time. I was under paid and over worked. I wanted a way out.
Well, God heard me and you know what he doesn't always work the way we think. Instead of burning down my business he allowed me to start expanding my knowledge about the internet. I started following a whole bunch of people and started to get comfortable with who was legit and who didn't know crap. Sure I didn't explode my business but it was making me some residual income that was enough to keep me hungry. And guess what? I got a job offer while I was in Hawaii that increased my engineering pay by 44% while working less hours with no travel.
So turns out looking back I think the overall plan was for me to WAIT and LEARN and just work at a better job until I found Something HUGE. You see at the time what I was looking for wasn't even created yet. I really think I got here today not by chance. My future was delayed so I could be at the right place at the right time.
I needed to learn and absorb more before I could be that leader. I needed to grow as a business person before I could really help others.
It took many many sorry programs and training modules for me to find something that stuck to me. My first break through was reading Magnetic Sponsoring and generating my very first online lead on October 5, 2006.
Wow, someone actually put in their information to learn what I had! That was my first taste of lead generation. Over the years I started to clean up my skills and be more efficient with what I already knew how to do. I didn't know a lot but I started to add tools to my internet marketing belt.
The key was when I zeroed on on,

The whole idea of making a residual stream of income is to be able to build a business even when your still working, on vacation, and even sleeping. Believe it or not many people don't have to go full time in the industry to make some serious money. What if you love your primary job? Why leave if if you don't have to.
That being the case, I have found a way to market any MLM Opportunity while still working full time as a Mechanical Engineer. The principle is that you don't have to work full time to generate 40+ leads a day.
I am a father of 2 lovely children and I married my high school sweetheart. I'm not here to convince you that I am this person on a cloud. I am a real person that does coach serious network marketers. Due to my time constraints I do NOT train everyone. I only work with serious people who want to change their financial future.
The simple interview I give everyone is:
- Can you check email and do business through email?
- Can you read English? Don't take this lightly you MUST be able to READ.
- Can you watch online video?
- Are you open minded and follow direction well?
- Do you have at least 1-2 hours a day to work on your online business?
- Do you have at least $50 to your name? This is a business not a Hobby.
If you can pass this interview process then you are on your way to learning from me, personally. I will teach you HOW to generate some serious income and leads. By doing this you can take YOUR network marketing business and live the life you had envisioned when you first started.

Newbie qestion: Can you really make a long term residual income at internet marketing without owning a product or service? To me internet marketing sounds like a cash shell game. –sorta robbing (conned) Peter to pay Paul. I promise I'm not trying to be negative, just an observation. I hope I'm wrong.
the service is information. I retail a front end retail service that is month to month then on the back end my primary opportunity is also education.
so no. it's not robbing people.

it just goes to show that anyone who is determined can do something in this industry. MLSP and marketing in general over the years has really changed the way I do business. Continue to make strives in life and you can absolutely do this part time too.

my understanding of the give and take is what can I do that won’t alter my marketing time. I came in just like everyone else. I started MLSP in 2009 knowing only magnetic sponsoring (which is pretty little in terms of REAL marketing online in skill sets).
I can’t and won’t do 1 on 1 for free anymore but I will put in my 2 cents in the forum as that is a great place to read up on what people are struggling with and connecting with others in the industry.

I too am an engineer (31+ years). I started online to avoid being cut and left w/ no job. It’s been a slow find, but I am making what some would call full time income in another program. I recently added EN and am impressed w/ your results. We all know that some efforts in the right direction will for sure get us results and you did that very well. Are you seeing sales direct from your EN blog or other avenues? My team is building EN blog posts and are hoping to see that alone make some sales. Of course the question is how many posts do we need ,etc . Any words of wisdom would help, and thanks for your inspiration to all who read and follow you! stan (I’m an EE 🙂
